Xerocampos in Crete is an unspoilt, remote and beautiful location in Eastern Crete, about 48 km from Sitia, 29 km from Palaikastro and 9 km from Zakros. The beaches at Xerocampos areideal for those people who wish to spend a quiet time in serene, beautiful surroundings, relaxing in the quietude and having a vacation away from all care and worry. The shallow, azure, clean waters of Xerocampos make it ideal for family holidays.
Xerocampos means "arid field" in Greece, and sure enough the landscape is scrubby and not by any means lush, yet has a wild beauty and one can find pockets of vegetation, orchards and olive groves.

It's challenging to see where the beautiful blue of the ocean changes to the beautiful blue of the sky!
