MAGICAL MOONLIGHT

I took this shot during the recent "super moon" occurrence. I have cheated a bit as it is a composite of two photos, one of the moon in focus and one of the bat and tree in focus. We have many grey-headed flying foxes (= bats) over our garden at night as we live close to one of the parks that a bat colony is based (see my post about it here).

This post is part of Sylvia's Skywatch Friday meme.

  1. Great photo, and the bat really adds to it!! A little touch of Dracula, maybe. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.

  9. It's good you said it is composite as i am wondering why both are in focus! The scene looks eerie and ominous, especially if there are news on TV about the "aswang" here. Aswang is a mythical creature with only the upper part of the body flying, while the lower portion is left somewhere while the top is looking for pregnant women to victimize! hahaha. eerie?
