DUTCH SUNSET
In the early 1990s I spent some time in The Netherlands, living and working there on several occasions. It was a wonderful series of stays and I took many photos, however, they were taken using a film camera. It is a long process to go through my archive and scan them in, but here is one which has been scanned. It is a typical Dutch windmill close to the city of Leiden, a renowned university town.

ReplyDeleteIf you know Leiden, you also know Delft - another student town with streets of beautiful old architecture! We stayed overnight several times, because one of our friends had a house along one of the canals.

ReplyDeleteWhen I was a little girl, we had a picture of a windmill hanging in our living room, and there was a small window at the top, and I use to imagine that was my hideaway.
