Thick haze descended on Melbourne today, with a north-easterly wind carrying smoke from the fatal NSW bushfires into our city, a distance of hundreds of kilometres. The temperature soared to a maximum of 45˚C making for apocalyptic scenery and a terrible day to have to be outdoors...

This post is part of the Skywatch Friday meme.

  1. That is staggering to think that the bush fires are having an effect on you in Melbourne.

  2. Oh wow, that is bad. I hope Australia gets relief from the fires soon.

  3. We have been hearing about your smoke and heath on the news. Good cityscape photo.

  4. We've been hearing of these fires in the United States but pictures like this really bring home the stunning nature of this - along with (in our system) 113 degree weather, which I've only experienced once in my life.

I love to hear from you, so please comment. I appreciate constructive criticism as it improves my skills as an amateur photographer.
