DYING PROTEA

Unfortunately, this protea bush was dying wholesale just before the flowering season. It does make for some interesting B&W textures, though.

    It is only with this meme that I get to see a collection of fabulous back and white shots. There is something about the medium that always excites me. Maybe it is the period of time in which I lived...BEFORE color film. I agree with you that this drying plant does lend itself to some fabulous shots. genie

    It's a shame about the the plant dying, but you're right - it makes for wonderful patterns and textures!
