The Australian white ibis (Threskiornis moluccus) is a wading bird of the ibis family, Threskiornithidae. It is widespread across much of Australia.

  1. Hello, Your Ibis is a cool looking wader. Looks more like the Wood Storks we have here. Great photo and sighting. Thanks for linking and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your day and weekend! PS, thanks for the comment and visit.

  2. It’s a great bird too. We just returned from three and a bit weeks in Australia and I couldn’t believe how ubiquitous this species was, even in downtown Sydney.

  3. Marvelous shot of this great looking Ibis. You managed to get quite close. Well done.

  4. That’s a great bird to see. I’ve seen a few Ibis in the wild, and they are all very special.

I love to hear from you, so please comment. I appreciate constructive criticism as it improves my skills as an amateur photographer.
