ON THE WALLS OF ATHENS

In 2007 we visited Greece and these photos are some of the graffiti and murals we saw on the walls of central Athens. Below the photos are captions that explain the main point that is being made.

This post is part of the Monday Murals meme.
The sign in the centre reads: "SANTA CLAUS, DON'T WEEP"
On the far right, the writing reads: "WE ARE EVERYWHERE"
The label above reads: "YUSURUM = Flea Market"
The bust of Zeus, head honcho of the ancient Greek pantheon
Old public transport depot walls

Destroy cars, use public transport!
Famed traditional Greek shadow puppets
A mixture of political and sporting slogans, as well as shameless tagging vandalism

  1. There is so much texture in these street shots, that you can take in each shot for a long time. Great work!

  2. Evidence that street art is becoming universal. Thanks, Nick, for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

I love to hear from you, so please comment. I appreciate constructive criticism as it improves my skills as an amateur photographer.
