Remember "Macramé", the old knotted string craft craze? If you do you're showing your age! It used to be widely popular during the 1970s as a means to make wall hangings, articles of clothing, bedspreads, small jean shorts, tablecloths, draperies, plant hangers and other furnishings. By the early 1980s macramé had again begun to fall out of fashion as a decoration trend...
I found this macramé plant hanger in a nursery and it looked quite interesting to photograph. The first image is at it came out of the camera, while Photoshop transformed the remaining images.

I like the original..but even better...the progression.The last has elements (the blue facets) of the Aus painter Godfrey Miller - who was a favourite of mine when I was at school. Guess who my other favourite Aus painter was:) ?
