This is a Red Chokeberry (Aronia arbutifolia), a deciduous shrub known for its bright red berries. Berries: These bright red, berry-like fruits often remain on the shrub through the winter, providing food for wildlife. In the Spring, the shrub produces white or pinkish-white flowers before the berries develop. The foliage typically turns a brilliant red colour in the Autumn. They are commonly grown as ornamental shrubs in landscapes and also produce edible berries suitable for making jams and jellies.
